Norfolks season came crashing down into oblivion as Suffolk did the double in 5 days, soundly defeating the visitors at Stowmarket
Inserted Suffolk took full advantage of some wayward gimme short bowling to post 185-5 with only Spaxman Shales and Bennett troubling the home team, 27 overs for 68 runs.
Norfolk lost Roper Bennett Davies and Lund in double quick time, and their all round bowling attack was far superior on the day, with a far more restrictive field.

Norfolk Over 60's vrs Suffolk Over 60's
Over 60's first XI chances of reaching the play-offs virtually disappeared today at Overstrand where they lost to Suffolk.
Suffolk won the toss and batted first and put the home attack to the sword as their openers put on 265 for the first wicket in 41 overs.Suffolk eventually finishing on 296-4. Credit to P.Banham who finished with 3-46.
With no repeat of yesterday's century by Martin Pearse, Norfolk could only muster 205-7, John Lund top scoring with 54.
Maximum points from the two remaining games against Suffolk away and Cambs/Hunts might just enable Norfolk to go through

Over 60's first XI suffered a surprise home defeat to bottom of the table Leicestershire at Old Buckenham yesterday.

Over 60s first XI had a comfortable victory against Bedfordshire at Ampthill yesterday. Batting first Norfolk reached 185-6 from 45 overs, Peter Coote on his return to Seniors Cricket scoring 61. Bedfordshire in reply fell 60 runs short, being all out in 40 overs for 125

Over 60's first XI suffered a 62 run defeat against Cambs/Hunts at Tas Valley today.
Cambs batted first scoring 237-6 from their 45 overs. Norfolk in reply managed 175 all out from 42.3 overs.

Over 60's first XI bounced back from last week's defeat with a win against Leicestershire yesterday by 28 runs. Batting first Norfolk scored 207-5 from 45 overs with Martin Pearse getting 81. Leicestershire were bowled out in 43.3 overs for 178. Mike Banham 4-51 and Phil Banham 3-38.
