Who We Are

We are a cricket club for senior Norfolk players over 50 years of age.
We play other counties and occasional internationals. We have no home ground, but play on good pitches across the county, with umpires and scorers at each game.
We play against people of our own age and attitude to cricket.

Everyone enjoys playing Seniors cricket. You are no longer an oldie who has to be hidden in the field, but a competitive player once again. You don't have to be an Alliance player. We put out excellent sides for our league matches, but also play plenty of friendlies and have a commitment to keep as many Seniors playing cricket for as long as possible.

Membership of the Norfolk Seniors County Cricket Club is open to all. For players, the Club is structured into three age groups; over 50s, over 60s and over 70s.
The over 50s play in the ECB 50+ County Championship (see their home page https://over50cc.play-cricket.com/ which contains a link to their competition rules). Those who wish to play for the Club in these Competition matches must be over the age of 50. However, the Norfolk Seniors are keen to welcome suitable players in their late 40s who may have an interest in playing for the Club in the near future. So players in their late 40s have the opportunity to play in a number of the friendly matches that the Club arranges outside of the County Championship. We also have an O50s 2nd XI which plays in the Southern Counties Seniors Championship (https://scsc.play-cricket.com/).

Our two over 60s XIs and two over 70s XIs play in the National 60+/70+ County Cricket Championship (see their home page
http://www.6070cc.co.uk/).
Broadly speaking, these league matches are similarly restricted as above, with regard to age. You can find a full list of rules at
http://www.6070cc.co.uk/Documents&Spreadsheets/Rules%202019.docx.

We also have an O60s/O70s friendly side to facilitate player progression.

Once again, please note that the Norfolk Seniors arrange a number of friendly fixtures where age restrictions may be relaxed by agreement with opposing captains.
For non-players the Norfolk Seniors have the option of social membership at a reduced subscription. After having played two games for the Club in any one season, an individual becomes recognised as a full playing member of the Club, and then pays the appropriate subscription.
