On Thursday 4 August 2022, Randolph 'Lofty' Lofthouse scored the most runs by an individual batsman in any game since the inception of the Norfolk Seniors club. Playing for the Over 70’s away against Bedfordshire at Ampthill, Lofthouse scored 170 not out off just 127 balls, a strike rate of just under 134%. Loftthouse opened the batting and was still there when Norfolk won the match after 40.2 overs. With his last stroke Lofthouse surpassed the previous record of 168 set by Peter Thomas for the over 50s against Cambridgeshire on 23 May 2002.
