Congratulations to the Norfolk team recently return from the Malta Seniors Cricket Festival 2022 where the organizer Harold van Zanten was awarded the certificate for third place in the tournament. Norfolk won two and lost two. Everyone had a great time and cricket was once again the winner.

Andy Broughton
It is with great sadness that the Club announces that it has learnt of the untimely, unexpected and sudden death of Andy Broughton, Honorary Life Member of the Club, at the age of 76. Andy Broughton joined Norfolk Seniors in 2008 and appeared 150 times for Norfolk. He scored one century and over 900 runs for Norfolk. In addition, he had innumerable catches and stumpings to his name as one of the best wicket-keepers ever to appear for Norfolk Seniors. He served on the Executive Committee as Media Secretary for over ten years, retiring at the end of last season. He will be greatly missed by all of his friends and teammates.
Andy's funeral was held on Wednesday 23 February, at 15:30 at Horsham St Faiths Crematorium, NR10 3LF.
Andy Broughton and Geoff Roper celebrating an unbeaten opening stand of 225 versus Hertfordshire on 4th August 2016 at Sawbridgeworth. This was also Andy’s maiden century for Norfolk.

Mervyn Mann assumes Presidency
At the AGM on 22 November our dear friend, former player and umpire Mervyn Mann was deservedly voted in to become Club President. Many congratulations Merv! The Club has a new Committee and Captains, so please see the Committee & Captains 2022 page for full details.
The Club would like to thank Carl Yallopp and his colleagues at Sprowston Cricket Club for hosting this year's AGM. The venue was splendid, the bar well stocked and the room warm - what more could we ask!
We are delighted to welcome our long-standing members Andy Broughton, Nobby Cobb BEM and Carl Yallop as Honorary Life Members. All three have done a lot for the Club and this is a well-deserved honour for each of them.
With the National AGM coming up on 9 December, members are encouraged to look at what the National Management Committee have sent us and give comments, feedback etc. to the Hon Sec. as soon as possible please.

We now have over 100 registered players. This is the largest number for many years. Well done to all concerned - especially in the O50s, for increasing the interest to play seniors cricket. It is a great basis for the future.
We are delighted to announce that Norfolk Seniors O70s 2nd XI will be composed of women players from the East Anglian Veteran Ladies CC from 2022. The Captain is Karen Elliott, and we wish her team every success in the coming season.
